  1. Tejas

This is by far the best water purifier I have seen.
My older water purifier was a RO filter. Although the tap water TDS level is around 160 ppm at my home we unknowingly fell for the RO. The TDS level of water after filtration in RO used to be less than 10ppm (it was 4ppm). I checked it myself with a “TDS meter”, now this is fine if you drink it once in a while like at hotel or restaurants, but to consume the water whose TDS level is less than 10ppm at home unconditionally everyday is bad for health. Our body needs alot of minerals and it should be atleast 150ppm . I wasn’t getting enough mineral in my water and every member in my family experienced health problems frequently for which doctor advise used to be “drink more water”. We did, but we didn’t get enough minerals which was being removed in the RO. so finally once I realised it’s super low TDS level I immediately ordered this kent purifier. I specifically ordered this model because it has no water storage tank, the previous filters all had water storage at my home and the cockroaches used to dwell inside the huge filter and breed, we often used to see excretion of cockroach and cockroach itself fall into the stored water. So this storage less water purifier from kent doesn’t keep any moisture for cockroaches to be attracted. Ofcourse you need to buy a portable water storage to store water if you want, otherwise Frequnt use of switch to fill just a glass of water would shorten it’s life. The purifier is slim and doesn’t take much space. It’s inexpensive, it’s ouput TDS level of water is exactly 150 ppm which is best for human consumption and it’s KENT. Although, the taste of water isn’t as good as it used to be in the RO purifier (because now it has good mineral content)
This purifier has no pump to push the water. Flow of water depends on the head of your overhead tank. So if the tank is right above your roof then it’s flow will be slow. I recommend you to invest in a good quality prefilter. Since there is no mechanism in this to expell out dirt water like in RO. over the period of time it gets choked with dirt/salts/mud. So spend good on prefilter and make sure you change it once in 6 months, Also you need to replace inbuilt filters once in a year.
If you can do that, there is no better water purifier you can get other than this.

The flow of water is extremly slow..takes upto 2 hrs to fill up a 10 lt jug. Called up the helpline the support csme once and was told to instal a water pump, the old aquagaurd worked perfectly on the same water piping. Have tried calling 3 times now and no response except for sms updates. Either this is very pooly designed or badly installed. Wastage of electricity due to the slow flow is another disadvantage.

The technician came and installed the purifier and he asked us to stop the purifier after 15 mins so when after 15 mins tried to stop it the purifier started making noise when we switched of the power supply.
Which was not happening when we were using the same purifier in the previous house.
Also u can c that there is a water leak inside the cavity of purifier.
    Really bad products…

I realised this after buying the product and getting it installed that this product does not affect the TDS of water. Measured the TDS of both inlet and outlet water and there was NOT even an iota of difference !! Absolutely same TDS readings on both (1600 ppm). I wonder what is the use of such a water filter if there is absolutely nill effect on TDS. Technician who came for installation also confirmed the same that it will not reduce water TDS at all. That ways it is an absolutely useless product !

For Mumbai and suburbs its great
the tap water is very good in cities so you don’t even need a UV water purifier only sediment filters will do the job.
But just for the precautionary point of view if you want one, just go with cheapest one with UV and membrane filter it will give you what you want.
For people from out of the Mumbai go for this with a pre filter installed it will make your life easier. it not meant to use for well/ bore water so dont even try.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don’t buy aquaguard , the service representatives and after sales maintenance is a scam they will force you to get the yearly service contract and then wont do the last service of the year unless u buy the contract for next year.

Good buy. Bought this as I don’t believe in extremely pure water of RO. Only problem is water speed which is low and reduces with time. To overcome, open the filter (not very difficult) and hit the two filter cylinders with a heavy screwdriver like object for 5 mins and water speed is back to normal…. trick told by service person. Else water would stop completely after 6/8 months. Filter replacement costs is 1300 yearly.

  7. shiva

Worth Buying. Best filter for medium budget. Water taste is also good. Only prefilter recommended.

  8. Amazon Customer

26th June, 2021: I placed an order for a “Kent Ultra Wall-Mountable UV (White) 60 L/hr Water Purifier” on

28th June, 2021: Unit delivered to my house

30th June,2021: Unit installed by Kent company engineer.

18th July, 2021: Unit stopped functioning, made a complaint to Kent customer care.

20th July,2021: Engineer visited my house and repaired the unit.

27th July, 2021: Unit stopped functioning once again.

30th July, 2021: After multiple calls to Kent team, engineer once again visited. Upon his visit he said he cannot replace the damaged part in the machine as the parts used in this “2020 Model of Water Purifier” are outdated and are parts from the 2015 Model hence they are not covered under warranty. (PFA pictures of the part with date of mfg.)

Now, this is a clear case of Fraud from Kent in partnership with amazon and cloudtail. Kent doesn’t have a proper QC process and distributes its items without inspection.

I demand a full refund for this faulty device and never wish to purchase from Kent again.
