I have had the worst experience with Kent. So much that I myself have learnt how to repair and service this water purifier on my own.

Kent products are made of the cheapest quality materials. They do not last long. Kent has put up a lot of unnecessary parts in these purifiers which do not last long. That’s when they start exploiting a customer. They charge a customer 500 rs for a part worth less than 50 in the market.

About this purifier, it has 3 importants parts – An RO (costs 2750), a sediment (500) and a pre carbon filter (500). The Sediment and carbon’s water purifying capacity is about 6000 ltrs (claimed but lasts a lot less).

Once the warranty period expires and your machine stops working, they install low quality replacement parts which last about 3-4 months. The replacement parts come with a warranty of 3 months. They claim that the RO lasts for about a year but hardly lasts 4 months. The same is the case with Sediment and Carbon.

After a very bad experience with them, I explored the local market and found that there is an alternate brand called PUROSIS whose parts fit Kent models. And these sediments and carbon filters come with 9700 ltrs capactiy and are sold in the market for about 100-250 depending on your negotiation. These are easily replaceable and does not need expertise. Overall, if you are considering buying a Kent, please go an buy a local water purifier which will cost about 5000-8000. That will do a better job than these Kent products.

If you have already bought it and have to replace parts, look for Purosis filters and save money.

PS: I don’t promote and neither am I a part of Purosis. It is through my personal experience and research, I found this brand’s parts practically replaceable for Kent.

See the image the carbon filter is bypassed, this has been noted while servicing, this is not against Kent but against the seller it is a bitter experience for me for online purchase.

Neatly Packed,Machine is good in look But Machine not working.Horror and Shock awaits as the Kent Technician open to check the parts of Machine. All internal parts including Motor,Filter,Pipes is old and used.It seems Tradelink,Jaipur Rajasthan Did deliberatelyThis cannot be case of accidental but this is certainly a case of intentional misspelling. This is complete Fraud.Amazon should immediately investigate and take right action against culprit.Pic also uploaded.Kent Technician has also flagged this incident.

Best designed to self destruct immediately after one year of warranty. fit to be in scrap after the warranty is over as there is absolutely nothing that the customer service people can do. The only solution according to these people are to again buy a new equipment. Not at all satisfied with this product. And I strongly recommend not to make a mistake by buying any of the Kent water purifiers.

  5. Amazon Customer

Defective product. Please do not buy online. Go to a retail showroom.and buy. Installed and not even a day, the sensor stopped working. Water over flow and my entire kitchen cabinet is spolied now. Had to turn off water supply. Pls do not buy from amazon

  6. Amazon Customer

Guys, within 8 months, filter stopped working, water is not dispensing, raised this issue with KENT customer service and doing follow ups but no response, the service is so pathetic and didn’t expect this from KENT

  7. Amazon Customer

Worst product, manufactured defect, extremely poor service and arrogant personnel both of Kent and amazon when tried to check on the issue resolution. Installation issue and use of local low quality filter, TDS issue and machine had to be opened for over 6 times in 3 months and despite Kent personnel don’t have clue how to solve. Hoping amazon will intervene now for replacement or refund

It took only 5 days for delivery, and after contacting Kent support for installation i got it installed on the next day by Kent technician free of cost. They charged 950/- for original kent pre-filter which I had requested as add-in during installation request for additional protection and easy cleaning. The only issue I noticed is slight pumping noise while filling the water tank. Technician told me that it’s common in all brands RO purifiers and not an issue. I can’t comment on it since I haven’t seen any other RO purifier in operation yet! TDS before filtering 144 and 19 after filtering. Everything went on smoothly yet. Will update after using it a few months….

Update after using 15 days: No issues and working fine.

    Update after 1.5 years use:
There were no issues since last week, 1.5 yrs, even though the Kent service called me after one year of purchase and informed me that it is time to change all filters as part of periodic maintenance. Since our use is limited, 2 member family, I refused the service and waited for audiable alarm for filter change as mentioned in the manual. Last week ie. after 1.5 yrs of use, alarm started and I booked for service. The next day technician changed all filters and UV lamp and now the purifier is working fine. The total cost is 5990/- including service charge 300/- and optional external sediment filter replacement 480/-. As per manual all those filters should be changed yearly or the alarm sounds whichever comes earlier. So, you anyway have to spend around 5500/- as anual service cost.
